What is the Land Rover Discovery?
Land Rover Discovery is one of the most luxurious mid-sized SUV in the market. This SUV manufactured by the proud off-road SUV manufacturer Land Rover. The Land Rover company became Jaguar Land Rover in 2013. The discovery line up started in 1948 and now we are in its fifth generation.
Under the discovery category, they designed their new compact luxury SUV named Land Rover Discovery Sports as a replacement for the Land Rover Freelander. This Land Rover Discovery sport Series started in 2014.
Discovery Sport Exterior and Design
The exterior design of this new discovery is similar to the first design. On the other hand the new discovery bit similar to the Range Rover Evoque. Front and rear bumpers are different than the old one. the car designed with full LED lights at the front and the rear. Signal lights featuring animated functions the same as Audi cars. Balck alloys give a heavy sporty look to the car. The side mirrors are powered with a heated option. So the driver can get a clear vision from side mirrors. Roof designed with fully covered with a panoramic glass roof even the second-row passengers can get that experience.
Discovery Sport Interior and Boot
Land Rover Discovery Sports comes with some updated features on the dashboard. Climate control area, Infotainment system with 10 inches display, Gear shifter (same as Range Rover and Range Rover Sport), Digital Gauge Cluster, Multifunction controllers (Same as Range Rover and Range Rover Sport) are some of them. Considering the overall design it's very similar to the new Range Rover Design. But the materials are a bit cheaper than the Range Rover Interior. Front seats come with the heated option and 12-way electric adjustments. Car cabin powered with the meridian sound system to give amazing sound experience.
The car comes with 7 seats (optional) other than the five-seater model also available. The second row is designed with enough space to anyone but center passenger have a littler floor hump. The third row is not enough for adults and suitable for children. The seat designs are similar to the all-new Land Lover Discovery 5 and finished the seats with soft touch leather materials.
When all the seats are in place there is no proper boot area. It's around 250L. The repair kit also under the boot floor. As the customer requirement, they provide a full-size spare wheel without featuring the repair kit.
Discovery Sport Drive and Engine
This car is very easy to drive because the view is great from the driving position. This is very important to perform the car well. Suspensions are very smooth and the turning radius is in a proper level.
This car powered with 2 Liter diesel engines. models vary with the horsepower. All models come with all-wheel drive mode. There are three different power outputs for different models.
1. 150 horsepower (Also available front-wheel-drive model with the manual gear shifter)
2. 180 horsepower
3. 240 horsepower
All other models come with 8-speed automatic gearbox.
